Ditching Your To-Do List
Last week was pretty stressful.
You know those kind of weeks where everything seems to happen all at once.
As a result, many of my big plans fell by the waist side.

As a result, many of my big plans fell by the waist side.
- I only got two posts up instead of four.
- I didn't get to try the new healthy makeover I was working on.
- My 5 planned workouts turned into one
- My new website remains unfinished

3 Ways to Find Inspiration
As determined as we are to accomplish our goals and get things done, sometimes it feels like our get up and go just got up and went.
Maybe you feel frustrated, unmotivated or just plain blah. I talked last week about the dreaded stay-in-bed syndrome and I am sure it happens more often then we care to admit.
My friend Christine @ Photographic Ramblings posted yesterday about where she finds inspiration and it got me thinking about the things that inspire me.
I was sitting at the coffee shop on a gloomy day last week when I noticed this:

Friday Favourites: Bloggers with Healthy Goals
TGIF!
I am still fighting of the cold that just won't quit and looking forward to get some much needed rest this weekend. (It will also give me time to finally finish my Inspiration Board :)
In honour of many resolutions this time of year to get healthy, I thought I would go back to the roots of Friday Favourites and talk about a few amazing bloggers who have inspired me with their stories about getting and staying fit!

Different Ways to Set Your Goals
Happy New Year!
I know I am a few days late, but I have been fighting off a nasty cold. I am feeling much better, but the sniffles just seem to want to linger on. :)
As a result, my Inspiration Board is not quite ready yet. However, I'm not going to leave you empty handed today. Before the big reveal, I wanted to talk about goals in general.
Now, I think that you can and should set goals at anytime of the year. However, if the start of a new year is your motivation to make positive changes, I am all for it.
Many of you know, I have changed my approach to goal setting. In a nutshell, I think everyone need to find their own way. Some people need to write everything down and meticulously plan every task 6 months in advance. While others may approach what needs to be done week by week, even day by day.

Resolutions Reflected
As you may recall, I have changed my approach towards goal setting. For me, having a visual reminder of what I would like to strive for works the best. I took some time yesterday to reflect on both of my inspiration boards.

Friday Favourites: Fitness Apps
I love my iPod Touch.
One day I will graduate to an iPhone, but for now, the Touch does the trick.
I love to listen to music during my workouts and loading on some fantastic fitness tunes for my clients and classes. I have also discovered some pretty cool apps to help you reach your fitness goals. Here are three of my faves and I hope you find them helpful too.

Resolutions Re-Evaluated: Letting Go
Happy November! 'Tis the time to reflect on your goals (dreams, visions, etc.).
I read a very interesting article yesterday about knowing when it is time to let go of a dream. It wasn't suggesting that you give up on your dreams, but rather when to trade in one vision for another.
I was intrigued.

Resolutions Revitalized
A new month is here and it time to reflect of those resolutions (goals, plans, images or whatever you want to call them).
You may remember at the beginning of last month, I updated my inspiration board to better reflect what is currently important to me.

My 3 Favourite Fitness Trackers
It is a sunny, but chilly Friday here in Toronto. I really love fall weather, lets hope it sticks around for a while ;)
My favourites today include some of the online tools you can use to stay motivated, track your workout progress and inspire you with exercise and nutrition ideas.
Even though I have adapted a different approach to goal setting and exercise, I still find it very helpful to track my workouts. I also like to share my exercise successes with others and so should you! Be proud of what you accomplish and don't be afraid to let everyone know about it.
Here are three of my favourites (and they are all free.)

Resolutions Reworked
The beginning of the month can only mean one thing: Time to get your planning on!
(Remember it is still summer until the end of the month so take advantage of the warm weather...with an outdoor workout, perhaps? :)
I mentioned in my post about finding your inner happiness that I would be tackling my new inspiration board on Saturday, but I had some time yesterday morning and thought it would work perfectly for today's post.
With my new approach to goal setting, having a visual of what I aspire too works much better for me than a list of to-do's. However, I continue to plan weekly (usually daily) to do what needs to get done.
Without further ado, here is the new board back to back with the one I made in January.

Inner Fitness: Finding Your Happiness
I am working-in this week (I hope many of you are joining me too;)
During the #Fitblog Plank Challenge, I started posting my weekly workouts and a few of you asked me where they went, especially this week as you wanted to know exactly what a "work-in week" looks like.
Ask and you shall receive.
I am going to take it one step further. Along with my workouts, I am going to include what I call a "happiness" section.
Why?
It is just as important that we take care of our insides. We need to approach health and fitness from a good place. If you don't work on making yourself happy (and in turn, being happy with yourself), I believe that you will never truly get to where you want to be.
"Happiness" doesn't always equate to doing what is fun (although I certainly think you need to have fun), it can mean doing something that will give you piece of mind and contribute to your overall well being.

Resolutions Rebooted: Goal Obsession?
It is the first of the month, my bloggie friends, and that means it is time to reboot our New Years Resolutions!
Originally, I was going to recap some of my goals and let you know where I was at, but we had a very interesting discussion last night about goals on Fitblog Chats and I have decided to shift my focus.
I noticed that many people were talking about meticulously documenting their food and fitness goals and it got me thinking:

Resolutions Recharged
Thank you so much to everyone for their kind words of encouragement about my announcement yesterday. I am so excited about this next chapter in my life and I hope you will continue to tag along for the ride :)
Well, it is the beginning of a new month and that means it is time for a New Years Resolution check.
I have really found that this year has been very different for me. Blogging about my goals has really helped me stay committed and focused.
While I have not reached all of my goals, I am proud to say that all of them continue to be a work in progress.
I look at my inspiration board every morning to keep me positive and motivated.
I have also been adding to my goals and allowing them to evolve as my interests and priorities change.
For example, I am rediscovering my love of yoga and I would like to commit to practicing at least two times a week to help me with relaxation and flexibility.
I challenge you to do the same. Revisit your goals this week and...
How are you doing with your New Years Resolutions? Are you still working on them?
Stay Healthy,
Tracy
